What is the Undergraduate Council?
The primary goal of this council is to act as a liaison between the undergrad students and the Computer Science Department as a whole. This involves encouraging discussion related to the curriculum and lab policy, developing a coherent stand on issues, and then voicing those opinions to the appropriate authorities. None of this can be achieved without your voice being heard. Anything you'd like to see happen in the department? Any concerns, problems, solutions....let us know.
Recent Events
- CSUG and SUMS (Society of Undergraduate Math Students) will be cosponsoring an event this Wednesday evening at 9PM in CSB 209. Our very own Chris Clingerman will be giving a short talk and after the fact there will be a joint game night complete with free food! Hopefully lots of people can come so we put those Math kids in their place after Chris' talk.
- We held our first CSUG Movie Night™ on Tuesday, September 30th. We showed the movie Hackers. Expect details on future movie nights soon; be sure to let your CSUG officers know if you have any suggestions for a showing.
- CSUG T-shirt designs are in the makings, and should be coming out sometime relatively soon. Once we have a finalized design, we will post images up here, as well as have information about purchasing said T-Shirts. More information to come as we get it.
- The CSUG Undergraduate Wiki is up and running (although not completely - we're working on it). There are a few articles already posted to it about things that may be useful to most Ugrads. Thanks to our contributors on that. If you'd like to contribute, e-mail one of the E-board members and we can explain the process. A link to the Ugrad Wiki can be found here.
