ACM Programming Contest
Each year the Association for Computing Machinery holds a programming contest. The UofR has sent teams to compete the past few years and will again in the fall of 2006. Check out this link for details and stay tuned for more information for the upcoming year.

The CS Games
In 2006, the University sent our first team to the CS Games competition in Montreal, Canada. The competition covers a variety of events including Algorithms, Debugging, Assembly, Artificial Intelligence, and eXtreme Programming. Our team came out in first of 33 teams (including two teams from RIT).

Google Scholar
Thanks to Rush Rhees Library's many databases (JStor, ACM Digital Library, ProQuest, etc.) students on campus have access to many of the articles that Google Scholar can find.

Net Neutrality
Important online campaign detailing the Congressional campaign to maintain Net Neutrality (the idea that the Internet should remain open and free for all regardless of who their ISP is and who is maintaining the various servers).
